Description<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Chamomile is an annual herbaceous or hibernating plant, which grows spontaneously, in the plains and in the mountain areas, in sunny areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It flowers starting from April - May, up to the end of August, sometimes it flowers for the second time in September. The most appropriate time for harvesting chamomile is when the majority of the inflorescences have marginal petals disposed horizontally (Flores Chamomillae), in this flowering stage, flowers have the highest content of essential oil. Harvesting is done only after dew has vanished and only on sunny days, usually once a year, during the months of May-June.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Use<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Chamomile has numerous properties, the most important for topical use being: the anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, antiallergic, emolliating and healing properties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is used under the form of tea, decoction, hydroalcoholic and oily extract.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is used successfully in different skin problems, from insect bites or small allergic reactions, to wounds, burns, anal fissures, post-surgery lesions or bedsores.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
